Galleries Team Up

“That’s when plans for New York Gallery Week were hatched. For a week, from May 7 through May 10 (timed to the spring auctions), 50 contemporary-art galleries across the city, as well as 7 nonprofit spaces, will offer exhibitions, lectures, panel discussions, film screenings, performances and artist receptions. And although galleries are normally closed on Sundays and Mondays, that week they will stay open with extended hours.”
